A List of African Photographers around the world plus tips for upcoming models

Hello guys,

For quite some time, a lot of people have been asking me a lot about photography, modelling, clothes and all sorts. So, i have decided to help a little by bringing out a list of good photographers who you could run to depending on your need.

Here's the advantage and a little thing you should know. For those of you who wanna model and you need directions, here's a tip , to start up your career on a good note. Do a photoshoot, then post it on your instagram page, then send some of the pictures to your friends phones , then send it to your whatsapp and bbm contacts. you could just select a few people you want to send it to. This way, they would have an idea that you model and then someone might make a statement about modelling and these friends and family that you might have sent your pictures to will just bring up your name and refer them to you and you could get a job or two from there. Or someone could be checking the phone of one of the people that have your pictures and see your pictures and they could just wanna work with you or it could even be that as people are checking your pictures either online or on the phones of people that have your pictures, your face would just stick in their heads and that's how it would be going round, you never can tell who would see your picture or who would refer you for a job. Its all based on publicity. Or better still you could pay linda ikeji  and she would post your pictures on her site and that's a really good way to start off.

Same goes for people that don't know if they are ' model material '. Do a photo shoot, then post it on your facebook and instagram or show it/send it and see what people's comments are. if you get a lot of good comments, then you're definitely fit to be a model

  • Biography - I'm Eniayo Ibirogba, parents are from Ogun state Nigeria, but i like to claim i'm from Lagos because i was born and raised here. Presently, I'm studying in the United Kingdom. I love nature and it serves as my inspiration for photography, even though I'm still a novice at it.   • Biography - My name is Chike Okwudiafor. I am 19years old. I am a young and upcoming photographer. I use my photography to show the divine beauty of God's work to the world. Janet Orilua



  • Biography - My name is janet orilua,  I am a physicist by degree. I have always wanted pictures (taking it or being photographed). I ventured into photography after coming in contact with Obisomto's work, I got in touch with him(through a friend of a friend of a friend) and he told me of a workshop by August Udoh and Orbit imagery for beginners. This was in 2013, I combined the workshop with my (then) night job. After the workshop I felt a certain amount of fulfilment (like I finally know what I want to do). I got a camera, resigned and majored in wedding photography. I love portraits but I love weddings more, so my major is wedding photography but I do portraits and fashion on the side.
